Who doesn't love cake? Cake is awesome, especially birthday cakes. And cake is the theme for this morning's Guinness World Record segment. This one is for the most number of candles put on said birthday cake. A team of 100 people from the Sri Chinmoy Centre in New York managed to set the record ablaze by lighting 72,585 candles on a single cake to celebrate what would have been meditation teacher Sri Chinmoy’s 85th birthday in 2016. They put out the candles with CO2 fire extinguishers after the record attempt so they could tuck in to the cake and blazed their way into the record books.
