Our third Pride month movie, ironically named “Happy Together,” is definitely not all sunshine and roses. It is a beautifully shot heartbreaking story of leaving home to live truthfully and realizing that love cannot save you from your emotional baggage. Written and directed by Wong Kar-wai in 1997, this movie shines and shatters your soul at the same time. But don’t worry, Brandon and Jane still find time to crack some jokes after all the heavy content. They have now picked a fight with Candace Cameron Bure although it’s never quite specified why. She knows why. And she has 24 hours to respond.
