Born and raised in Cherokee County, Kyle Sandy has always been around the game of basketball. He graduated from Sequoyah High School in 2010 and helped the Chiefs to their first ever state playoff berth his senior season. Kyle went on to study sport management at Kennesaw State where he graduated in 2015. He quickly found his way back into sports as a member of media, doing work for the GHSA and Atlanta Journal-Constitution through Score Atlanta. Kyle quickly found out that basketball didn’t quite have the voice that football did in the state so he sought out to help change the landscape of media coverage in Georgia by using his Twitter profile @KyleSandy355 to grow a following in his efforts to cover all things GHSA basketball and eventually parlayed that following into opening sandysspiel.com, a leading resource for insight on high school basketball In Georgia from tracking transfers to coaching changes to game stories, nightly game recaps, player evaluations and more. Spielin’ & Dealin’ is the official podcast of Sandy’s Spiel and Kyle also hosts the Sandy’s Spiel Showcase, a one day event during the high school season. Kyle has helped shine a light on numerous programs and prospects throughout Georgia and is always looking to help connect coaches and players along all levels.
