On this episode of The Second Act Podcast, we welcome Canadian Paralympian Julie Kozun. Julie competed in the 2020 Tokyo Games in the Sitting Volleyball event, which she became eligible to participate in after a lawnmower accident when she was 15. We discuss the accident, the resulting decision that set her on this path and what her life looks like now that she is at the apex of her competitive pursuit. She made a tough choice to pull out of the program just before the 2016 Rio games and we walk through that process to show what is considered when those decision are made. She is a remarkable young lady and when you are through listening, you will be thrilled of the caliber of person who is representing Canada on our behalf. You can follow her journey on IG at @juliekozunsittingvball or at https://paralympic.ca/team-canada/julie-kozun.
