If you’re a sales rep being trained with old traditional sales tactics or are a company training your sales team with washed up sales strategies, you need to tune in. With old school sales, you can close about 50% of your conversations - and sadly, companies think that if their sales team closes at 50% that’s normal but it’s not. And who wants to be average? Who wants an average sales team? If you sell, you should be selling at 80% or more and if you’re not, chances are, you’re being taught old school ways where you’ll close maybe 50% on a good day and you’ll be burnt out and exhausted doing so which is not sustainable.
