In today's episode we cover chapters 11 through 13 of the book How to Wake a Sleeping Lady by Bree Wolf. If you are just joining us here is all you need to know - we don't like Grant. Not one bit. But we are doing our best to keep an open mind and hoping the author makes him more likeable soon.
In these chapters, Grant spends some time reminding Nessa what a stalker he was in the beginning of their relationship. Throughout their carriage ride home he conveniently forgets to tell his first wife about the second one and spoilers - its going to come back to bite him in the butt soon. Considering Grant is keeping this HUGE secret from his wife regarding his second marriage, you think he would have had the foresight to tell others not to spill the beans.
There are some sweet moments with Nessa and her father, and some not so sweet moments between Grant and his mother (she really doesn't like Nessa, and really loves Genie). Nessa tries to unravel why her mother-in-law hates her and Amy tries to tie it into her conspiracy theory. Beth is pointing out breadcrumbs left and right to try to find something more interesting in this story than a lame love story with a hero we can't like.
