We're baaaaaaaaack! Did you miss us? We apologize that our Snarky Sisters have been on hiatus the last few weeks while one of us (the smart one, Beth) was finishing up her doctorate degree in Naturopathic medicine. Kudos to her and her accomplishment! But now our sisters are ready to get back into what they love doing best. . .reading cheesy romances and talking about them in all their glory.

In this week's episode our Snarky Sisters take a look at the dark world of loosing your sight and being scarred in the Regency era. We delve deep into the plot and characters of the book Yours Until Dawn by Teresa Medeiros. The story follows our hero Gabriel, once adored by all for his Adonis looks but now abandoned by all those he held dear, including his immediate family and his former fiancĂ©. Left to his own devices on his country estate he has become more of a beast than a man and refuses anyone's help or assistance. Enter our intrepid heroine Samantha who is a very determined nurse who (somewhat inexplicably) will not back down and refuses to take no for an answer (or "You're fired" or "Get out of my house" or any of the other insults Gabriel throws her way). Of course these two fall in love . . .but Samantha is hiding a secret that could potentially destroy their future happiness. . .so instead of talking it out she runs and leaves our hero desolate. . .but he won't give up his true love without a fight. . .shenanigans ensue. . .you get the idea.

Join us as we contemplate some really life-altering questions throughout this book:

This book, despite the often Gothic melodrama, was actually a lot of fun to read with two very likable characters and fun, surprising plot twists. The characters had real growth throughout and the romance was definitely believable. Very satisfying happily ever after ending. Definitely worth a read.

WARNING: Plot spoilers abound in the review so if you don't want anything ruined please read the book before listening.
