Yes, this was a very tragic incident but this all could have been avoided on both sides. So to my fellow officers, we have a duty to slow down, assess the situations that we are dealing with at the moment. I know our situations are fluid and most encounters happen very quickly. Take an extra second to make sure that the weapon you grabbed is in fact your taser and not your firearm or vice versa.
