Grief is a difficult topic that is often avoided even within communities of faith. After experiencing a family tragedy in 2019, I decided that I wanted to begin the conversation so that we could all begin to normalize the emotions that people feel after a loss, learn how to best support, and avoid unintentionally triggering those who are hurting.
My special guest, Shanika Grant a Licensed Therapist, will provide insight on how to help those who have experienced loss, provide tools on how to move forward through grief, as well as sharing some practical ways that we can all use to better support those who are hurting. Shanika considers herself and other counselors as a resource and encourages those who are listening to lean into their faith in times of loss and grief but to also the help of a therapist if necessary.
