Galatians 5:16-25- "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." What does it mean to live and walk by the Spirit, and what is the alternative? Paul's statement in v. 25 would suggest that it is possible to live by the Spirit but walk by, or according, to the flesh. Does this mean we have a duel and split personality within us? Do we have the Spirit of God in us, while also battling a flesh nature? Scripture would say no. When we are born again, and born by the Spirit we live by the Spirit. "The flesh", then is no longer in us...but even when we live by the Spirit, the temptation still exists to walk by the flesh...
