May we never create a church environment where people can behave like they are Godly but not really know Him or experience the power of His resurrection through being born again-there is too much at stake!
ln a letter to the Church about fellowship, John makes it clear that those who are born again are eternal and not in the world anymore. He also makes it clear that there are those who sit in church but are not born again because, as he puts it "some went out from them" and were claiming that Jesus was not the Christ. Those who are born again know Jesus is the Christ because having experienced new birth, you can not deny this reality.
So then, it is possible for people to attended church and even be active in the ministry but not to have experienced the power of being born again. Jesus said this is a sad reality. People have converted their religious beliefs to christianity, and bought the behavior modification training program of religion, but never experienced being born again. What a tragedy!
