Linda Balliro is Associate Professor of Voice, Berklee College of Music, is a voice teacher, vocal coach, speaker, presenter and author of “Being A Singer, the Art, Craft and Science.” A founder and charter member of PAVA, Balliro is now a leader of the Massachusetts PAVA.
A graduate of New England Conservatory in Boston, Balliro spent 13 years performing as a classical soprano in Central Europe. Her teaching career began in Vienna, on the voice faculty of Vienna Conservatory, and she has been an Associate Professor of Voice at Berklee since 2013. Her book, Being A Singer: the Art, Craft and Science, and online courses, High Performance Voice Training for Singers, have been designed using principles of learning neuroscience, and focus on singing cognition and time-tested voice training methods. Sought after as a presenter and masterclass teacher worldwide, Ms. Balliro has successfully trained professional touring artists, college students, young professionals, recreational singers, kids and teens.
