Here is our Bible Ponder for this evening.
The text is Mark 2:23-28 and my questions today are these:
1. What in our world and culture today gets turned upside-down the same way?
2. What in our communities of faith has become like this? Do we have particular traditions or customs in our churches like this? (or even church itself?)
3. How can we counteract the urge to make customs and traditions become this sort of mandatory, ‘us made for the tradition, not the tradition made for us’, thing and therefore lose their good?
