Writers don’t pay to be published.
Publishers pay you.
It’s simple. And in the writing world at large, it’s well known.
But for many new authors, the allure of “Your manuscript’s amazing; we can’t wait to help you become a successful author for only X.99” it can be a trap.
Thankfully there’s Jensen Reed, one of a growing number of small publishing house owners committed to the growth of the writing community and making sure authors are being paid.
I met Jensen through Writing Bad a group ProWritingAid calls “Best Facebook Group for Writers.”
In this episode we talk about the writing process, submitting for publication, running a publishing company, and the difference between a love story and the romance genre
