We all have had bad thoughts and feelings but when we actively take charge over our thoughts and mindset we can move every mountain without fail. We have a chance to get it right. God saw fit to wake us up today and that means because he did, you sir and you ma'am still have work to do. So, here are a few ways that you can renew your mindset each day to obtain that great thing that God has for YOU!. Remember that renewing the mind is a continuous act and the more effort you put into it the better and easier it will become.
- Repent daily
- Read your Bible, meditate on the word, listen to the Bible being read, take notes, play worship music, sing praises to God. God will renew your spirit as well as fight your battles.
- Write down the cause or origin of the negative or self-defeating thoughts. Doing this will help you in prayer and gives you a starting point in conversation with God. He can begin to speak to you on how to overcome these issues.
- Guard your mind. Be careful what you watch, who you let speak into your life, and your space. You can refuse to accept others negative behavior when it is directed toward you. They that are after the flesh do things of the flesh but they who are after the spirit do things of the spirit. Focus on God! Romans 8: 5-6
- Take control of your thoughts! "casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." 2 Corinthians 10: 5
- Get closer to God! By spending time with him in prayer, worship, praise, reading your word and sitting with him so that he can expound on that word this is you. In these moments you are putting him before you and he honors that sacrifice.
- Utilize positive affirmations to speak over yourself, your situations and your family. When you speak these affirmations you are making a declaration that what you say will happen and the more you say it the more you believe it and in that your faith is being perfected. If you find affirmations that are Biblically based then you are also building up that word in your belly so when you have times when you are not at full capacity you can reach into your belly and speak over yourself with the word of God.
