We as firefighters are labeled as “first responders”. Think about that for a moment...we are called first responders, not “first reactors”. We are expected to respond to incidents rather than react to them. But what exactly does that mean? What’s the difference? And IS there a difference?
I’m here to tell you that there ABSOLUTELY IS a difference when it comes to responding versus reacting.
