Firefighter wellness isn’t just about working out and training for the “big one”, it’s about being mentally healthy, spiritually sound, and having our nutrition dialed in. When we hear the term “diet”, we can’t help but think of restrictions; tightening our belt figuratively so we can tighten the belt literally.

Megan Lautz is a registered dietician with a Master’s degree in sports nutrition who focuses her efforts on members of the fire service and our unique challenges when it comes to making sure we are taking care of ourselves. She’s got a great social media presence and is VERY knowledgeable and passionate about the community she serves!

In todays’ episode, we talk about how a small shift in our mindset can make for huge changes, how our diet doesn’t have to be restrictive, and we also talk about the taboo subject of energy drinks!
