The heart is deceitful above all things, who shall know it. It is impossible to judge the hearts of men. There is no sure way of accurately determining the intents and motives of men. We can only hope. However, as believers, we are given a new heart and a new spirit day by day, and are filled by the Holy Spirit and are taught and led unto holiness. May God continually work in you to remove every hint of covetousness, that your conversations and your conduct reflect uprightness and holiness.
