Deuteronomy 7 - God designates the nation of Israel as His own special people, and warns them of getting entangled in the affairs of the nations driven from their sight. Vs. 4. "For they will turn your sons away from following Me." The adversaries of Israel offered to help them help in rebuilding the temple of the Lord, sighting some common goals, but the leadership of Israel out rightly said no. May you have the courage to say know, test the spirit behind any offer of alliance.
