Covetousness is idolatry. It is walking away from God. Covetousness places you as the insufficient judge of your life, leading to an endless pursuit of transient things that defile. Let it not even be mentioned among you (Ephesians 5:5). Be content in the things that you have - with your eyes and mind on things above, where your treasures and and you are seated with Christ. He will never leave you nor forsake you. This promise is a summation of all His promises to you.
