Jesus says and does a lot things in throughout the Gospels which are shocking. In today’s Gospel, John 6:60-69 Jesus seems to really have crossed a line. We live in a world, a culture that thrives on being shocking. What the Church believes about the Eucharist should shock you and can be used to shock others.
