Description

A former client asked to look at his Google Analytics, and I found fake website traffic. Even going into 2020, we see fake marketing tactics. Avoid these at all costs to save your marketing dollars on real results.

🤖 Fake website traffic.

Let's start by saying you will not have 100K unique visitors to your site for $50. This is a scam that I fell for when I was 18.

🔗 Fake backlinks.

Crummy SEO agencies often build backlinks to improve the visibility of websites on Google. Doing PR to earn focused links and mentions will do more to your brand then wasting marketing dollars on phony link building strategies.

🗿 Fake followers.

You are telling me that for $10, I will have 1K extra followers. Save the money and do not buy fake followers that will never engage with your posts.

👍 Fake engagement.

Nobody is going to like your photos because it will require building a community. This is where I am starting the next leg of the #garyveechallenge after focusing on creating content for the last 12-months.

Don't waste your time to prop up vanity metrics. Measure your actions by what you do and at what frequency.
