Buckle up kids, because this week’s Give Me That D is a wild one! Lauren Leland is here to break down “Tiger Cruise” and no, it’s not a movie about a riverboat through the jungle like Katelyn thought.
This is not just a movie about Navy brats (but don’t ever call them that), a disintegrating father/daughter relationship, or the families of people in the Navy. It is also, if not most importantly, a movie about…… 9/11. That’s right. 9/11/2001 — they went there. So obviously this is less your run of the mill DCOM, and more of a recruitment video for the US Navy. But don’t worry we still have Hayden Panettiere and Bill Pullman, plus plenty of antics!
There’s some dog shit soft serve, a 50-year-old main character (literally why??), a very disturbing musical moment in a kitchen, a kid almost flying to his death off of an aircraft carrier, and plenty of trauma! This is one to talk about in the group chat.
