Cautiously nonsensical
Carefully unreasonable
Matthew 6:26-28 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, how simple they are!
Think of the sea, the air, the sun, the stars and the moon - they don’t think they just are, and what a provider of assistance and care they are to us.
It’s amazing how often we detract from, scar, mutilate, and deform Gods designed influence through us by our self conscious effort to be consistent and useful.
Jesus says that there is only one way to develop spiritually, and that is by concentration on God. It’s like Jesus is saying don’t worry about being useful to others; just believe on Him. If you pay attention to the Source, you will be able to help others because out of you will flow rivers of living water.
We can’t get at the Springs of this life by common sense, Jesus is teaching that growth in spiritual life does not depend on our watching it observing it making it happen but on concentration on our father in heaven.
Our heavenly father knows the circumstances we are in, and if we keep concentrating on him we will grow spiritually as the lilies.
The people who influence us the most are not those who stop us and make us listen to them. Advice is never taken when Not asked for; and rarely is taken when it is.
Instead we are influenced by those who live their lives like the stars in heaven and the lilies in the field perfectly simple and without being artificial or insincere.
If you want to be used by God gets so close to Jesus Christ and he will make you of use unconsciously every minute you live.
