Description

XX Week After Pentecost Wednesday October 29, 2025—In today’s readings, we’re challenged to walk the narrow road — the path of humility, obedience, and genuine love that leads to life.

📖 2 Kings 18:9–25 recounts how the Assyrian army mocked Judah’s trust in God, taunting King Hezekiah’s people and questioning the power of the Lord to save. Yet, even under pressure, faith is refined — reminding us that real trust in God stands firm when the world scoffs.

📖 1 Corinthians 8:1–13 calls us to let love, not pride, guide our knowledge. Paul reminds believers that “knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.” True spiritual maturity isn’t found in what we know, but in how we use that knowledge to serve others with humility and care.

📖 Matthew 7:13–21 closes with Jesus’ call to enter through the narrow gate and to live a life that bears good fruit. It’s not enough to say we follow Him — our actions, shaped by love and obedience, must show it.

Together, these passages point us to a faith that is both courageous and compassionate — a trust in God that holds steady under pressure and a love that reflects His heart in all we do.
