Hey, everyone!
First thing’s first, I’m OUTSIDE today! It’s wild, I know! Some of the noises get a little crazy and there’s a bird that just won’t quit towards the end of the episode. So…I’m sorry. This is what I get for trying something new.
On this short episode, we talk a little bit more about my faith journey here in Beijing and what it’s done for me. Like so many other people, I’ve been unable to spend physical time with my family because of the pandemic. Most days, I’m okay with it. On other days, however, it can be difficult to come to terms with the fact that it’s been two years since I hugged my parents or my grandmother. Two years since I’ve seen the faces of my siblings and my nieces and nephews. Two years since I’ve felt the familial warmth of home.
What’s kept me going? My support system! Especially the support system I’ve gained through my church. I feel more and more at home and I’m grateful. Something good HAS come out of the pandemic: I’ve gotten more active in church. As of now, I’m a part of the Worship Team, the Prayer Team, the Social Media Team, and the Online Connect Team. Who knows what else is in store for me?
I’m also fairly sure that I’ve left things out, but I was feeling a bit scatterbrained and mildly self-conscious, haha. I appreciate you sticking with me, thought.
As always, I would love to hear how I can make this a better experience for you.
