Shalom! And welcome to episode 13 of Overcoming Daily with Anna Johnson. Today's overcomer tidbit is this... the overcomer holds fast to the promises of God. Let me repeat that. The overcomer holds fast to the promises of God.
God's Word is a promise. A promise is something that you agree to do, or keep. His Word tells us that he changes not. And so if he changes not, his Word does not change as well. He honors his Word. Always. No matter the cost.
We see this time and time again, with the nation of Israel, whom he gives a word to, gives words to. And he honors those words, even when Israel as a nation does not honor their words.
Now, it's so very important that the overcomer holds fast to the promises of God. Because without holding fast his promises, the overcomer is subject to being manipulated by circumstances, the enemy and even their own understanding and flesh. The overcomer is susceptible to giving up when they're not focusing on the promises of God.
