In this interview with Brian Murch, Austin explores the family connection that Brian has to three storied families in the Arabian horse world: the Murch, White, and Chur families who have all had huge impacts on the Arabian horse world at large. As we weave through his connection with each, he speaks about his own family tree and how he views the acute aspects of specialization of horse trainers that can be well-traced within his own family tree. Brian goes on to talk about his time at Strawberry Banks, a storied program that has managed some of the most important and impactful stallions in recent memory: A Temptation, Hey Hallelujah, and Bask Afire (and more not listed here) and how the program has moved on after their passing. Brian highlights the up and coming Lance Lewis, who is taking a major role at Strawberry Banks, and we spend a little bit of time talking about the Chur family's involvement in other ventures like the Breeders Sweepstakes and the AEPA.
