Today we continue the story of St. Margaret’s School as we celebrate our Centennial year.
In the midst of all of the loss of headmistress, Mrs. Craighill in 1947, St. Margaret's was still growing.
Anderton House was purchased from the Andertons in 1947 for use as a dormitory. The original structure was built around 1760, about the same time as Brockenbrough House. Originally, the building served as a "prize house" for tobacco. A southern wing was added on to the house in the 1890s.
