We continue with Ms. Harvey’s Digital Media class which found the girls taking photos/video and creating an original soundtrack and movie representing SMS, the river, or a combination of both. They used a Digital Audio Workstation to create their original music and then created their video to represent their thoughts and the story of their music. It is a lot to be able to create the music and the video and they rose to the challenge. Each project included a paper that describes their thoughts and some of their process.

On the River is the movie I made for the Sounds of the River Project. There are many sounds that we can find from the river and near the river, and they can be combined together to be a beautiful song. The song contains an intro, verse one, verse two, chorus, and an outro. The intro I used is similar to the outro with the same beat and chorus that represents a windy day while the verses and the chorus are not like an allegro that represents a peaceful day. I used an eagle’s sound to correspond with the eagle’s nest, and I used a stone dropping into the water to correspond with the video of the actual water droplets dropping into the water. The audio of the movie represents how the river is like a windy and sunny day versus a calm day.
