Abdullah bin Umm Maktum, one companion of my companions, in which Surat “Abassa” was revealed in the Holy Qur’an, and he is the one to whom the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Welcome to the one whom my Lord corrected me for.” God revealed in the great companion the verses of Surat “Abs” in a famous incident, when he came to the Messenger asking him to learn the Qur’an, so the Prophet turned away from Ibn Umm Maktum with his face and got angry at him for his insistence while he was busy inviting the masters of Quraish to Islam, so the first ten verses of Surat “Abassa” were revealed. A kind reproach to the Prophet for his turning away from the blind, as described by the noble verses.
