Description

We're back with another episode of The Fallible Femmes. In this episode the Femmes dig a little deeper into sibling relationships. They wanted to look at what healthy sibling relationships look like and encourage those who have children to nurture those relationships. Having a sibling is truly a blessing and it shouldn't be taken for granted.

They first look into healthy sibling relationships and how to cultivate them, such as promoting sibling bonding time and avoiding comparison. Each child has their strengths and it's so important to recognize a child's strength without exposing the other's weakness.

Mindy and Andrea also get into the pros and cons of siblings. In an article entitled, "The Good, the Bad, and the Questionable," the cons are something that the femmes can identify within their own sibling relationships, from constant fights to sharing everything. But of course there are pros which include moments of solidarity and forever friends. A lot of times, for those of us who have siblings, our brothers and sisters are our first friends. This can continue on to the end of our lives.

The femmes continue on their path by ending with an article that goes through all the ways that our siblings shape who we are. Ways like developing a sense of humor and providing later life support. More often than not, siblings (children) outlive their parents, and it's nice to think, if we're lucky, that our sibling will be with us to tell stories of our youth and wax poetically about a life well lived.

Take a moment to listen to this latest episode! And share it with a friend, or even a sibling...
