Description

We caught an early screening of The #GeorgeRomero lost film  #TheAmusementPark at the #AlamoDrafthouse here in Austin, Texas. The  Amusement Park is now streaming on #Shudder

Originally produced in 1973, The Amusement Park was shelved after the Lutheran Society, which had commissioned it as an educational film about  elder abuse and ageism, refused to release it due to its disturbing  content. It was believed lost until a print was discovered in 2017 and used in a Romero retrospective at the Torino Film Festival. Word of the  film spread and it was subsequently given a 4K restoration by IndieCollect.

The film was shot at the now-defunct West View Park in West View,  Pennsylvania. #SaveindieFilm
