A research fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, Peter Robinson spent six years working in the White House as speechwriter for both George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.

He is best known for writing Reagan’s famous Berlin Wall speech in 1987, one of the most memorable speeches in modern politics.

In this podcast he talks about this critical period in world history, his dealings with Mikhail Gorbachev and Margaret Thatcher, along with key events including the Falklands War, the fall of communism, and the fragile beginnings of democratic Russia.
