So there is a major trend going on in Hollywood. All over the streaming world audience are being treated to more nostalgia-porn in the form of Dark-Gritty Reboots.
You know what we’re talking about? When they take a wholesome, beloved sitcom from the days of yore, like Full House, and turn it into an edgy version for new audiences, then call it something like The Tanner Family Tragedies… or something similar.
For the Rubber Ducky Gang, it started with shows like Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which follows and edgy telling of the old Archie comics. Then, Peacock released Bel-Air, a re-imagined story of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. So all this got the your Hosts thinking, “what’s the next Sitcom to get the dark-gritty treatment?”
