Welcome back to a new episode!
We all know how tough it is to succeed in life. And these days, success is looking younger and younger. If you read Forbes’ 30 Under 30 List, you’ll see what we mean. Since 2011, Forbes recognizes annually 30 people under 30 years old that are emerging titans of their industries. And since then, the world has been trying to guess which one of those 30 is headed to prison next.
It seems the journey from that interview with the magazine straight to prison is real. We’ve seen the examples in the media. Most of these start-up companies grow super fast in the hands of these geniuses. Then when it’s time to go public, find real funding and investors, or just explain to someone how their business works, they fumble. Sam Bankman-Fried, securities fraud. Elizabeth Holmes, non-existent product. Charlie Javice, faked her followers users and subscribers. And that’s just three.
Your hosts make sure to go over these, and more as we discuss the odd phenomenon people know as the Forbes to Prison Pipeline. We’ll talk a bit about what these guys did, why they got caught, and why we should wag our fingers in shame at them.
