He shares with us his insights into each of these roles, as well as explaining what the role of the umpire is in racing, and some of his highlights and favourite venues from his time umpiring and coaching.

We have another world record – in Ultramarathon- as Candice Burt smashed the previous women’s record of 22 ultramarathons in 22 consecutive days by running 200 ultras in 200 days!
Cycling’s Giro D’Italia finished in drama, with Primoz Roglic snatching the title from Geraint Thomas in the final time trial, and Mark Cavendish capping the week where he announced his retirement by winning the final sprint in Rome.
