In this episode we share how powerful and life changing self care is, what is the philosophy behind it and why sooo many women neglect self care, can't find time for it and struggle with consistently adopting it into their every day life. It's not that we don't want to take care of ourselves, it's that we have a deep belief rooted into us telling us that prioritizing ourselves is selfish, unproductive and only allowed to be done when the needs of other people in our lives are met.
The truth is that we make time for everything we consider important. Why don't we put ourselves on that list first? Then self care rituals will be so much easier to incorporate in our busy lives. Instead of adding it to our to-do list, let's make it a part of who we are. We talk about how we got started, what helped us, how it benefited us and our families. Of course we discuss mom guilt and lack of time - these are the most common blocks that stop us from prioritizing our well being.
What is self care? Obviously, it goes beyond face mask and getting our nails done. It includes setting boundaries, asking for help, nourishing our body, mind, and spirit. We share the tools we use, but please remember without the WHY, the tools won't stick. Without understand how YOU and the whole WORLD benefits of you taking care of yourself - none of the tools will become a part of your identity. Remember, you matter. You also are the one responsible for your own happiness and well being. So let's take our power back and start prioritizing ourselves like our most valuable asset. Because we are. Love you!
