[DWIH Coffee Talk #2: The Future of Work: New Technologies and the Workplace]
Digitalization, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things … new technologies are changing every aspect of society including the way we work. What kind of potential do these technologies hold? How can our work benefit from them? How can science and research help us find good solutions?
In the DWIH Coffee Talk #2, four joint German-Japanese research networks of the “Future of Work” campaign by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) presented the potential of new technologies that are changing the way we work and all other aspects of society. The virtual café was getting busy when moderator Axel Karpenstein (DWIH Tokyo) welcomed several members from the research networks to discuss the implications for manufacturing and production, small and medium size industries, and care for the elderly.
