The July CHCC Pod is here with a then and now feel to the show. We have Dave Weston joining the usual cricketing bandits. Dave is an avid listener and was a top cricketer back in the 80’s to 00’s with two clubs close to his heart; Scholes and Barkisland.
Dave is also joined by his son Matty who to paraphrase Dave is “A much better batter than me!”. Matty is having another superb season with his boyhood club and it was good to get both Weston’s opinions on the state of cricket today.
Cobber and Jacob were the regular co-hosts to add their insight and opinion into the mix. So what did we talk about? We rounded up the latest action and news in the Huddersfield Cricket League, we took a deep dive into Dave’s long career and both our guests took the “It Only Takes A Minute” career quiz. Jamie, master criminal psychologist that he thinks he is, reckons he has fathomed where the source of the Drakes League Rumours cricket account is from and we doffed our cap to the Slogging It Podcast boys who are walking to each test ground during the Ashes.
