Is philosophy important? You bet! What about hot dogs? Well, they can be. Mediocrates has fruit on his mind today.
- Something New: Since the last episode I have been thinking about how important it is to make Philosophy your best friend. Can't we just have Theology instead? How does Philosophy relate to Theology?
- Inside the Mind of Mediocrates: What is knocking around inside the Mind of Mediocrates? In Galatians 5:16-26 Saint Paul helps the Galatian Christians see the conflict between the desires of our selfishness and the desires of God. Why does it seem like sometimes you try to do the right thing, but everything you touch turns to crap? Why are some people speeding past you at 100mph in a 40 and you get a ticket for driving 47? Wouldn't it be easier to just let our reptilian brain and our impulses guide us? Should we question the actions of our fellow man? How do we succeed as people of faith in a Post-Christian world? Are we alone?
- Something Old: Why would an NCAA football coach care what a hot dog slinging middle schooler thinks about his team?
