It sounds easier to say that God is " my friend" but it's a greater privilege when one is referred to as " The friend of God " like He did Abraham. It means Abraham was in a class of his own & had a deeper exclusive relationship with God.
We reflect on how we too can get there. A place where God enjoys our friendship as well & shares His heart with us.
