I am honored to shine the light on one of my shero's and her name is Sojourner Truth. Sojourner was born Isabelle Baumfree and she was brought and sold four times. She ran away with her infant daughter Sophia to a nearby abolitionist family named the Van Wagners. In 1851, Sojourner Truth began her lecture tour that included the women's rights conference in Akron, Ohio where she delivered her famous speech " Ain't I a Women",. in 1864, she earned an invitation to the White House to meet Abraham Lincoln for the courage work she did along side the troops in the Civil War, etc. Check out my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYlrW91Y6AjFWWt9X6alzhA
