19th Sunday in Ordinary Time -Matthew 14:22-33
This week we have the privilege of listening deeply to First Nations woman Sherry Balcombe who, using the Gospel as a springboard, shares her hopes for this country we now call Australia, her wisdom around the upcoming referendum, and her work towards creating the first Aboriginal Rite of the Catholic Church written by First Nations people. Sherry is currently the Executive Leader of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry, the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander’s Victorian Councillor, the recipient of the NATSICC Service to the Community award in 2022, and a member of the Plenary Council.
