In Episode 6: Sara’s Story Part 1, we are joined by an NYC mom who was in a hotel shelter with her husband and son. She shares about their experience applying for shelter at the DHS' Prevention Assistance and Temporary Housing (PATH) intake center, the application process, and when they first entered shelter. Sara gives tips that is based on her personal experience for other families who may be at risk of experiencing homelessness or in the process of applying. After two denials of entry, her family was finally approved. Stay tuned for Part 2 dropping next week, Wednesday October 7.
