This week's episode aims to discuss gender, clothes, and expression. It's Just Material, Girl, contains a special feature from the new segment "verbatim", where I bring on special guests. The long version will be available on Youtube.
Sam (they/them) is a queer Afro-Indigenous entrepreneur from Toronto. Growing up, they've always struggled with communicating how they felt. So, being the Gemini they are, it was destined to be *hair flip*, that they would always find ways to express themselves artistically. Whether that was drawing as a child, “accidentally” shaving their eyebrows off, or performing art pieces in high school. They would never steer away from an opportunity to express themselves. Later down the line discovering their gender/identity, it felt only natural to experiment with makeup and clothes as well. (@svmjae)
As always, I have added links to my Instagram bio (@blcksprout) to the resources that I used in this week's episode, so check it out if you want more information.
