TAKE YOUR TIME - JUST DON'T WASTE TIME… that's enough.
Much more important than the speed at which we travel is to avoid wasting time.
I have seen many successful people in their fields. They often looked like inept phlegmatic people. However, when I looked more closely at their working techniques - I noticed a common element - a lot of concentration on a single and very small task at the same time.
After this task was accomplished, they only moved on to the next ... also only one and also very small task. They did not try to multitask and "switch" between them. For them, that would only mean dissipating their energy and concentration.
However, they had a very clear image of the work they wanted to create in their minds. There was one more thing for these people - they didn't waste any time. They usually walked slowly …… but very, very consistently.
It's a bit like completing a big puzzle. We don't have to build the whole picture at once. However, we have a precise vision and we know where we are going. We are currently completing this one small fragment. Sometimes even this passage is difficult to put together. Sometimes it is like that. However, if this element is really important - such efforts are never a waste of time. You just have to do it because it is important - although it is not always pleasant ...
What I am talking about can also be compared to a huge table. You fill in individual fields - at the intersection of rows and columns. And so it slowly becomes more and more complete. The important thing is that you are not wasting any time. You work persistently. There are better days and bad days. This table, however, is becoming more and more complete,… ..more and more understandable. It is more and more oblivious to the image you first created in your imagination.
Do you think Microsoft engineers created Excel by accident…. ??
Excel is just such a table - and it reflects the work of the human mind quite well. I come to such conclusions.
Interestingly, even managing large projects - it ultimately comes down to managing simple tables …… And our life… isn't it our most important project in a way?
When doing something - it's always worth asking yourself one simple question: "Is what I am doing - really important?" What does that mean? No less, no more - but is it an element of this great table ... of this great picture that I wanted to create? I think that is one of the most important questions we should ask ourselves. And we should do it often. It's like correcting the shipping course of… life sailing.
This does not necessarily mean that you must always and absolutely carry out tasks in order ... .. What kind of life would it be .... Incredibly programmed and boring.
And remember: Take your time -…. Just don't waste your time.
