I found Maggie's work on instagram some months ago after seeing one of the reels she made. The work that initially drew me in was her interview series with people from all over the world in Fi Di Kulcha, where she showcases what life is like for different people in various countries through their lived experience.
She has a series called Kitchens of Toronto where she showcases various local restaurants featuring types of cuisine, there are a few places I now need to try! She has also started her own production company to help small businesses and nonprofit organizations tell their story through videos.
Being new in the podcast game and not really having much of (any) following I thought it would be a long shot to invite her as a guest since we have never met and she is definitely making a name for herself on youtube with over 8,000 subscribers (headed towards 10K!) and I am technically just some random person from the internet, if we even refer to it as that anymore?
I was so excited when she agreed to come and let me say she is as wonderful and funny in real life as she is on her channel. It was a pleasure to chat content creation and hear a bit more about her process as well as getting to know her as a person. I am sure this will not be the last time our paths cross and I am so pleased to share her with you all!
