Itβs a tragic progression: hate leads to blindness, leaving us lost and walking without direction. 1 John 2:11 warns that "the one who hates his brother or sister is in the darkness and walks in the darkness and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes". This describes a progression: choosing the path of hate means the lights go out, and the further we walk in that darkness, the more our eyes are blinded to reality. This self-centered decision centers everything on "I," substituting personal judgment for God's truth. The decision to hate has serious ramifications, as the darkness is not neutralβit actively blinds. Our call, even when seeing a sibling stumble into the dark, remains to be the light and to love well. We are ambassadors, called to entreat and plead, trusting God with the outcome of conversion. Key Scripture: The one who hates his brother or sister is in the darkness... and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes (1 John 2:11). Are you operating based on "I" in the dark, or crying out for help? How does knowing that the darkness actively blinds you motivate you to choose love?. Don't assume on God's love or time. Love now, love well, and carry the light into the dark.
