Welcome to BRAHM To Go. Your Go-To Source for arts and history. Today we have an interview with Gene Ray. Gene is a retired nurse from the Junaluska community in Boone, NC. This interview was conducted by project photographer Ashley Warren and BRAHM interns Madison Goodwin and Courtney Maness. This interview was part of the exhibit the Way Watauga Works and the questions and responses focus on Gene’s work history. Gene’s interview was the most emotional one for me to listen to, and it gives great insight into the challenges of nursing.
